Greg Eden signs new Sheffield Eagles deal for 2027
Greg Eden will stay with Sheffield Eagles for 2027 after scoring eight tries in 11 appearances during their 2026 Championship campaign.
Greg Eden has signed a contract to stay at Sheffield Eagles for the 2027 season, taking the club’s contracted squad to 19 players, the Eagles have announced.
The back scored eight tries across 11 appearances in 2026 as Sheffield finished seventh in the Championship. He established himself at full-back after joining midway through the season, having previously spent spells with North Wales Crusaders and Bradford Bulls during the campaign.
Staying at Sheffield will reunite Eden with Ryan Sheridan, who was an assistant coach at Castleford Tigers when Eden played there. Both were involved in Castleford’s 2017 campaign, when the club claimed the Super League Leaders’ Shield and reached the Grand Final at Old Trafford.
Eden’s signing adds to the Eagles’ squad commitments as they strengthen for 2027. Other players under contract include Matty Marsh, Jordan Lilley, Jordan Abdull, Corey Johnson and Joel Farrell.
