Sheffield United welcome Derby County to Bramall Lane on Saturday, 24 October 2026, as the hosts look to build on a win over Bristol City and the visitors seek points in their fight against relegation.

The Blades have 15 points and a victory would take them to 18, potentially bringing the play-off places closer. Derby have six points and could narrow the gap to safety by winning, according to OneFootball.

United also recently beat Lincoln City at home. Derby, meanwhile, have drawn twice during a five-match winless league run. The recent meetings have produced an away victory apiece: United won 2–1 in May 2026, after Derby took the points at Bramall Lane with a 3–1 win in November 2025.

Injuries affect both squads

United defenders Matt Doherty, Jamie Shackleton and Femi Seriki are listed as injured.

Derby’s absentees include goalkeeper Jacob Zetterström and defenders Charlie Taylor, Craig Forsyth, Matthew Clarke, Eiran Cashin, Sondre Langås and Derry Murkin. Midfielders Alex Mowatt and Lewis Travis are also sidelined, along with forward Patrick Agyemang.

Patrick Bamford leads United’s league scoring with four goals in the season rankings, while Bobby Clark has contributed two assists for Derby. The Blades have recorded four clean sheets; Derby have managed one and conceded 20 goals.
